The restaurant chain has over 1,500 restaurants in Canada and over 150 in the United States. The company is headquartered in Ontario, Canada with its main office in Toronto. The company was founded by the two famous Canadian ice hockey players of Toronto Maple Leafs Tim Horton and Jim Charade.
In 1991, the 500th store was opened in Royce as part of the company’s expansion. However, the expansion was not an easy job as the competition with the rivals was heating up.
